South Africa: Republic of Resistance, Empire of Minerals

South Africa: Republic of Resistance, Empire of Minerals

Sat 18 – Sun 26 October 2025

Overview: An intense journey through South Africa’s unfinished story—where racial oppression, revolutionary struggle, economic warfare, and resource politics continue to shape the nation’s destiny.

Core Themes:

  • Apartheid as architecture: systemic oppression through law, cities, and economics
  • The ANC’s armed struggle and Cold War geopolitics
  • From liberation to corruption: the unfinished revolution
  • Mineral wealth, global capital, and the politics of extraction

Featured Activities:

  • Site tours of apartheid detention centres, police archives, and hidden resistance hubs
  • Conversations with veterans of the liberation struggle and intelligence operatives
  • Strategic briefings on state capture, mining geopolitics, and future conflict zones
  • Visits to rare earth extraction sites and corporate influence nodes

South Africa is a republic built on contested memory and blood-soaked soil. Its future will be decided not just by politics, but by who controls its ground—and its ghosts.
